What is a parent suppose to do???

Jake has been building a tree house- so glad he wants to do it!!! Tony has been helping him and his friends build it. I asked Jake to bring in all the tools before it rained last week and he told me he did--- However, He did NOT! Next, he told Tony that he found some tools under a log (lie)... Tony already knew the tools had been left outside, however, he was waiting for Jake to tell him the TRUTH about forgetting to bring them in... What is a parent to do? And to top it all off- Jake did not take the nails out of his pockets--- His shorts went through the wash and put a hole in the pan of the washer...(yes, there is more) Now we have to buy a new washer! What is a parent to do....????
